MX-30 Free Sample Set

The Multivox MX-30 is a portable preset piano from the late 70’s.  Back then, electronic instruments were made with analog chips and transistors.  It has a very unique sound that is really not heard anymore.  Check it out.

On the keyboard there are three piano presets, two clavichord presets and a separate monophonic bass preset that can be played along with any of the other presets:

  • Electric
  • Normal
  • Honky Tonk
  • Electric
  • Normal

There is also a control called “Touch-Response” which is actually aftertouch.  The player can control the brightness of a note while holding a key down.

The sound set I made includes Kontakt and XX-XT files for Reason. Download it here.
